This isn’t a brand, it's a lived experience.
Hi I’m Lou, based in the Dorset countryside, mum of three daughters, woman in her late forties and someone who knows from personal experience, what it feels like to run so far past empty that you forget to breathe and your nervous system is screaming out for regulation, safety and tranquility.
Before Louminosity was born, I ran a vintage business that I absolutely adored with a passion. But behind the scenes I was drowning…stressed out, overwhelmed, dysregulated and full of anxiety. Stretched impossibly thin between the business, the mum duties and the constant worries that never let up.
So I walked away.
From something I loved.
Because I had nothing left to give and just kept burning out.
It wasn’t until I was diagnosed with ADHD and Autism as an adult that so much of my story finally was starting to make sense.
The burnout, the overwhelm, the way I pour everything into something and still like it wasn’t enough.
Suddenly I could see clearly and in that understanding, something shifted.
I stopped trying to push through.I started learning to come back to myself instead.
And that's when I found sound, breathwork and stillness, then slowly everything changed.
Louminosity was born from that shift. I retrained and created the experiences I desperately wished had existed for me , right where you are now, with everything taken care of, to be held in a safe space, so the only thing you have to do is arrive.
The vintage business taught me that I have an eye for beauty, for detail, for creating something truly special and personal.
Louminosity is where that gift finally found its true home.
The story behind my logo
The Louminosity logo was designed on a Tuesday afternoon on the Dorset coast.
I’d been struggling to capture what Louminosity truly was… what it looked like, what it stood for, how to show someone in a single image what I do and why I do it.
I’d been overthinking it for weeks.
“So I paused, I took a day off”
I had a beautiful sauna, I swam in the sea, and then I sat alone on the coast for an hour, looking at the water and designed my logo, just like that.
The sun, because the sun is what energises me. It's what I seek out. Its warmth, life, the thing that makes you turn your face upward. It's in every experience I create.
The sea and the waves, because the sea is where I find peace.Swimming in open water is one of the truest forms of presence I know. The waves are also sound, the very thing at the heart of everything Louminosity offers.
The arch, a doorway. A threshold. The moment you step from the ordinary into something that feels a little sacred.
The flick underneath, my favorite part.
That little curve represents my own journey, the ups and the very real downs. The dips that felt unsurvivable and points and the rises that came after.
It's honest , it's mine, it's the reason Louminosity exists.
I didn't design a logo, I took time out, sat by the sea and remembered who I was then it came to me. Lou
